Opener Shikhar Dhawan, who retired from international and domestic cricket, was known for scoring big in ICC tournaments. Debuting under MS Dhoni in 2013 and flourishing under Virat Kohli, Dhawan hit a memorable 117 against Australia in the 2019 ODI World Cup. However, a thumb injury cut his World Cup participation short, and he was replaced by Rishabh Pant.
