Karnataka’s own king cobra found in the Western Ghats and known as ‘Kaalinga Sarpa’ locally will be officially named Ophiophagus Kaalinga at an event in Bengaluru on November 22. Work by researcher P. Gowri Shankar and his team has shown that it is a distinct species
